Why didn't you stand up to Governor Christie? Cowards.

Dear Reporters:

Why didn't you stand up to Governor Christie? Cowards.

You're OK with an elected official calling a colleague “stupid” and an “idiot” for asking a question “off topic”?

Stand up for your peer, stand up for yourselves and the institution of objective news gathering.  You, he, and everyone else with press credentials has the right --the OBLIGATION-- to ask relevant questions to anyone, as long as there is a good faith belief that the answer would lead to something newsworthy.

Was Carl Bernstein stupid? Should Senator Ted Kennedy not  be asked about his practice of involuntary snorkeling in a submerged Lincoln? Should the list of approved questions for President Clinton not allow for the topics of perjury, being disbarred or the proper way to moisten a cigar?

This wasn't someone yelling, "Bababooey!"

This was a newsman doing what you chickenshits shoulda done.
What you should have done is formed an impromptu protest.
What you should have done is reminded Governor Christie that he serves at our request.
What you should have done is not allowed this public servant to undermine a Free Press.

And if you are indeed too stupid to recognize it, or too afraid to do something about it, go ghostwrite celebrity memoirs, and allow a reporter that takes his duty seriously to take your place.

Useless fucking cowards.
